Richard J. Venegas, CPA

The firm started business in 1997, and since the begining our efforts have been dedicated to helping our individual and business clients integrate both tax planning and tax compliance into their investment and strategic business growth. We make sure to make the complex tax issues clear and understandable to our clients. 

I have been working in public accounting since 1982. After graduating from San Diego State University my first accounting position was in Escondido. 

In 1984 I joined Deloitte and spent over a decade focused on tax issues of both inbound and outbound international business clients.  During my time in the Middle East and Mexico I worked with many blue chip and high-tech companies designing strategies to maximize the benefits of their international operations and to lower their tax burden.

I continue to use this international expertise to help our clients with personal and business investments outside of the U.S. I speak fluent Spanish and have many professional contacts and resources abroad.

I am also a Certified Financial Planner and over the years have helped many clients with retirement, employee stock options and estate tax planning.

I am married to my wonderful wife Karen and we have two children in high school. When away from the office we enjoy taking the family in our Airstream RV far and wide across the country.
